Projects

Racing for Wildlife unites the sports community with passionate land and water conservationists across the country. The Conservation Fund and the Ryan Newman Foundation launched the program in 2007 to begin building an American land legacy for generations of sports enthusiasts who share Newman’s love of the outdoors.

Current Projects

Michigan: Waterloo Recreation Area

Only a short drive from Michigan International Speedway is the 20,000 acre Waterloo Recreation Area, a unique location for outdoor adventures. Racing for Wildlife is focused on expanding opportunities for Michigan youth to get outdoors in this area and on connecting local communities with this nearby natural area. Read more >>

 

Past Projects

Alabama: Talladega National Forest

Ryan Newman and NASCAR legend Bobby Allison joined in Racing for Wildlife’s efforts to protect more than 1,100 acres in the Talladega National Forest. The project was completed in 2009 and protects a portion of the crest of Rebecca Mountain, allowing completion of the Pinhoti Trail, a long-distance hiking trail which links to the Appalachian Trail in Georgia.
